pre-pregnant Jess and the iconic Beaux Fingey enjoy 2010 Washington Brewers Fest - one of 6 WBC events
Sometimes you have to just reboot. Thats exactly what the Washington Beer Commission decided to do, by refurbishing its website and becoming more interactive.
Check out the new Washington Beer Commission site and be sure to follow them on Twitter, Facebook and through your RSS feed reader. The new site has some cool new tricks, including a Google Calendar that you can add to your own calendar (already done). Other features include a streaming news bar, updated news links, a brewery map and a new section devoted to brewery profiles.
The handiwork of Washington Beer Blog mastermind, Kendall Jones, is all over this puppy. I suspect that Kendall is their new webmaster – and kudos to the WBC for selecting a true beer gentleman (don’t take offense to that term, Kendall).
Use the site often, check back for updates and get your tickets to all events over there. I am very happy to see the WBC pick up their online presence and provide better information for beer drinkers around the great state of Washington.
Cheers!

Black Raven walks away victorious at Winter Beer Fest
Did you make it out to Winter Beer Festival 2010? Hope that you did. We heard they poured some damn good beer.
The Washington Beer Commission has gone ahead and released the results for the attendants’ voting. I was very happy to see Fremont Brewing win for their Bourbon Abominable – an absolutely delicious beer.
It was no surprise that Black Raven Brewing walked home with a few awards, including the best booth decoration. Check out the official voting results below:
